Thanksgiving

What a whirl wind the past 5 days have been!

Last wednesday we ran some last minute errands and then headed out to Council Grove where we spent Thanksgiving with Heath's family. Other than burning most of the dishes, it was a great meal. We all got to sleep in a little the next day! In the afternoon we went to Heath's cousins for a few minutes, Keith and Roma Grafel. They have some horses that are just beautiful and Jonathan and Noah got to play with their puppy and dog. I'm not sure who wore whom out! The dogs or the boys! :) Then before supper time we headed back home to Topeka and actually ate hamburgers for supper! LOL By that time we had been eating turkey for about 4 days!

On friday Heath and I got up and braved the crowds of black friday. We only went to two stores and were actually home by 7:30am! Then we spent the rest of the day putting up our Christmas decorations outside. Heath and the boys absolutely love doing it and thankfully this year we had great weather for it.

Saturday was a full but fun day. For lunch we got together with our Youth Group teens and we to Red Robin and celebrated one of the girl's birthday. She had turned 18 and on that morning one of her Uncle's passed away and we wanted to do something fun for her and it was!! She was totally embarrassed when they made her wear balloons around her ears!! Then we made an unforgettable trip to Lowe's. The kids did a great job at embarrassing Heath and I. They kept calling us mommy and papa and Kimmy actually got in the shopping cart for me to push! Good times!

Then that night we went to the Christmas parade downtown. This was Caleb's first year to go and he loved it. He laughed at most of the floats. I guess he thought it was funny how they all had Christmas lights on them.

And Sunday, probably our favorite day of the week, we had a big group for sunday school and a big group for Youth Group. Its so great to see the kids each week and see them so excited to be there and see each other. Sundays are always great!
