Teens

Heath and I are happy to announce we are the new teen leaders for Lakeview Church of the Nazarene!! We had our first official youth group this past wednesday and are looking forward to teaching sunday school for the first time too. We are so excited and the kids really seem to be too. That or they fake it really well. We have all kinds of activities we want to do and the kids seem just as interested. Everything from a lock in, to cyber bowling, game/movie nights once a month, Acquire the Fire!, and a whole lot more. It was great to see them coming up with ideas and getting excited about it. It is after all their group. We are even hoping to do a little repainting to the walls, update things a little. So our lives just went from a little busy to really busy but we wouldn't want it any other way. Pray for us and for our teens as we head into this new adventure together. I really believe God has great things in store for us.

And we'd like to put a bug in everyone's ear. We are looking for a couch, loveseat, oversized chair, etc. for the "new" teen room. Please be on the lookout for me. It would be nice if it could be donated since we are a new group but we might be able to scrounge up a few dollars if its sold super cheap. We are also looking for a coffee table and area rug, bean bag chair or those rockers for videos/games. Any or all of the above.
