Something New

If you are searching to try and find a way to grow as a family I would suggest starting a family devotion time.  Heath came up with the idea of having a 9 @ 9.  9 minute devotion at 9pm.  Of course sometimes it takes longer than 9 minutes but it doesn't take too long.  We chose a devotional as a family and take turns reading, talking and praying.  Heath has also encouraged everyone to come up with a praise or prayer request each night.  Something that doesn't involve them directly.  Our boys are loving the time!  They are often the ones lately reminding us its 9.  We may have to set a time on our phones so as we get busy through the summer we are reminded to stop and take a few minutes to just be family and talk to God.  So far its pretty cool!
