This is a really random catch up from the month of May.

 Roo is in our youth group and was selected to be a part of the National Honor Society and he invited us to be there for the induction ceremony.  Neither Heath or I had been to one before and it was very cool.  Here is Roo with our boys, who absolutely love him, after he was inducted.  Proud of him!

 Our school had a family run again this year.  We enjoyed last years so much we signed up and attended this year.  Here is Jonathan and Caleb running.  Jonathan was a good big brother and ran slower and stayed with Caleb.  Last year Caleb wasn't sure about any of it and stayed right by me.  He had so much fun this year and I don't think he ever stopped running!

 Just before this even Heath started running in the mornings.  Roo, in the first picture, has started running in training for cross country and he has inspired Heath to start running again.  This is Heath and Noah running.  Most of the time Noah was with friends but from time to time he would stay with his dad.  

My mom and I were there too however we had just completed our daily workout at the gym and walked most of the time.  We were a sweaty hot mess, therefore pictures were not needed.  ;)

 A few nights later our friends, The Wrights, had a concert in town and we were able to go.  Those of you that know us know we are not big Southern Gospel music fans, however we LOVE it when Terry and Melissa sing.  This night, 2 of their kiddos even sang a few with them.  Brett and Taylor are in our youth group as well and they did a fantastic job.  We encourage you to take the time to go see hear them sing.  Soon, they'll be touring the country and won't be around here much and we will all say we knew them when!

 I came up with the bright idea to take Caleb to lunch in preparation for Kindergarten.  He does not adapt to change well and after Kindergarten round up he wanted nothing to do with moving on.  So I was hoping this would help.  He really enjoyed eating with his brothers however he never ate anything on his plate.  Rather than continuing to literally throw the money down the drain, we decided to wing it in August.  I see a lot of corn dogs in his own lunch box in his future.  

 The school's PTO paid for a skating lessons for 2 weeks.  At first I admit I thought who doesn't know how to skate?  Well, it seems, almost all of the kids didn't.  The split the school in half.  Half went one week and half the next.  I was fortunate to be able to work out my schedule and volunteer each afternoon while all 3 were at school.  Noah went the first week.  Here he is with one of his good friends, Easton.  So I said, who doesn't know how to skate...my kids!  At the beginning of the week Noah was on the red and blue mats mostly.  By the end of the week he was doing great going around the mats.  

 The second week was Jonathan's turn.  Here he is in the red shirt with his friend Jake.  I had to push Jonathan to move off the mats.  He felt comfortable on them but he was doing so great off of them.  He would go around the mats one time and then get back on them until I convinced him off. By the end of the week he was full of confidence.  The kids did the limbo, chicken dance, hokey pokey and just a lot of fun.

I did learn, skates really hurt when they roll over your toes.  I am not the only mom who snorts when she laughs hard.  :)  And we have two of the best P.E. teachers around.  

 Over Mother's Day weekend Jake has a baseball tournament and we went and cheered him on.  Jake is one of Jonathan's best friends and a great big brother to Noah and Caleb.  They had won their game and Caleb has to give him a kiss on the cheek as his congratulations.  Too cute!

 Later in the month we went to a wedding just south of Wichita.  Heath had a cousin get married.  It was a beautiful ceremony and reception.  Noah and Caleb danced as long as they could and had so much fun.  

Before the wedding we were able to stop in Hutchinson and see Heath's Uncle Roger and Aunt Joann.  Sadly it had been a while since we had taken the time to see them.  They are always so great to be around.  We were glad we made the time and hope to do so again soon.  

With a cousin getting married there was a lot of family around that we had not seen in a while and we were all at the same hotel.  Between the two days it felt like a family reunion.  

 Field day is always a fun day.  Caleb was in afternoon preschool this year which meant he got to tag along with me.  He kept saying he couldn't wait until next year for his turn.  Jonathan and his friends were great about letting Caleb in on some of the fun.  This was after the obstacle course and they were all wet and probably sweaty too.  They also had a frisbee toss, the always exciting water relays, running relays, line dancing and tug of war.  

 In the midst of all of the hype and excitment of the end of the year we sadly had to say good bye to our favorite preschool teacher.  We have known her for 7 years. All three of our boys have been in her class.  It is going to be very weird next year not going to her classroom for meetings and parties.  She almost wants to make me have one more kiddo so they can go to her preschool.  I said almost!

 Also this year Ms. Baxter, Jonathan's music teacher retired.  Jonathan loved going to music and learning from her and she enjoyed Jonathan's smiling face.  She does so great with all of the kids. 

Noah never had the chance to learn from her. We are going to miss her as well. 

 This is Noah's 2nd grade class. This class had a few special things happen.  First, their teacher got married in June and we were able to attend.  I remember when my 4th grade teacher got married.  I cherish the memories from that year, it was probably one of my favorite years.  This class also has the chance to loop.  They are a big class and need 4 classes and their teacher was given the opportunity to move up to 3rd grade with them.  Each parent was given the choice to stay with her as they move up, loop with her.  This hopefully will give them such a great start to the year because she already knows these kiddos and where they are.  We are not sure if all of the class decided to loop but we know most of them did which means Noah is in for another great year.  We just love his class and his teacher.  

 On the last day of school what is better than Orange Leaf?  We met Jake, Emma and their mom Lisa for a treat for the end of the school celebration.  We just love the Becker family!

This is our nephew Alex.  He turned 6 at the end of April and had a karate birthday party.  It was so much fun and funny too.  The kids had a great time and I took way too many pictures.  He is a pretty cute 6 year old!
